With over a decade of experience in child advocacy, forensic interviewing, victim advocacy, and multidisciplinary collaboration, Brandon Gurganus has dedicated his career to bringing clarity, compassion, and professionalism to the field of child abuse response. As a Victim Services Specialist, he has served on approximately 3,000 cases of alleged child abuse, and conducted approximately 1,700 forensic interviews. He also has provided countless families with guidance and support through the investigative and prosecution process. Brandon also has served as a statewide trainer, and an expert in forensic interviewing and the field of child abuse in general.
Brandon founded Illumination Consulting out of a deep conviction that understanding and truth thrive where there is light. After years of working within the system, he saw how easily confusion, fear, and misinformation can overshadow justice and healing. Illumination Consulting was created to bridge that gap—offering expert insight, objective consultation, and education that empowers professionals and communities alike. By bringing clarity to complexity and truth to the surface, Brandon’s mission is simple yet powerful: elimination of harm through illumination.
